By accessing and using Essay-Trainer ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Essay-Trainer is an AI-powered essay coaching platform that provides personalized feedback and guidance to help students improve their essay writing skills across 10 different essay types.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Account Security: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service.

4. Eligibility; Users Under 13

Use of the Service by users under the age of 13 is permitted only with verifiable parental consent, consistent with our Privacy Policy and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that use by a minor complies with these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

6. Intellectual Property

By using the Service, you grant Essay-Trainer a license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This includes internal use of your content for improving the Service, quality assurance, and troubleshooting.

Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by Essay-Trainer and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Writing Session Record Sharing: You may generate a time-limited shareable link for any essay's Writing History from your account. By generating and distributing such a link, you take full responsibility for selecting who receives access to the linked writing process summary. For parent accounts, this includes responsibility for any sharing of records that relate to a child profile. Shared links expire automatically after 30 days. You may revoke a shared link at any time from your Writing History page. Essay-Trainer is not responsible for any use of a shared link by recipients after you have distributed it.

7. AI-Generated Feedback

The feedback and suggestions provided by Essay-Trainer are generated using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all feedback before using it in your work.

8. Limitation of Liability

Essay-Trainer is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Essay-Trainer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
